Popularized in response to a comment by the Rev. Christian Mockery which had initially regarded the facist-like censorship which the monkeys are well known for, "get over it" has found new uses by censoring the word censorship with words and phrases such as posting twice, Bjork, and premium land in Japan, as well as censoring the word censorship with censorship and pretending that nothing has changed. Other good suggestions for censoring words and phrases include owl semen, cockpunch and suocialism.
Enterprising monkeys have turned the phrase into various art forms, sometimes religious. Although, the monkeys may be facists, they are not without aesthetics.
Arguably, rocket88's comment on February 18th, 2005 in the defense of Alnedra was the precursor to the meme by almost one year: get over it. I'll justify the source however I please.
