MoFi drinking game
From MonkeyFilter Wiki
The MoFi drinking game has a long history, dating back to the first few months after Columbus discovered the Internet hiding behind his sofa in 1493. Early versions of the game can be found in the British Museum and the Prado in Madrid, sculpted from egg-cartons or cast in zinc. Naturally, the precise rules of the game have mutated over the centuries, but the basic gist of it is quite simple to state.
First, sit in front of your computer, with a bottle of Vodka, a shotglass, some cigarettes (if needed) and a priceless copy of the Gutenberg Bible (or, alternatively, some absorbant kitchen towels).
Then contemplate - just for a moment - what a sad, lonely loser you will be for drinking alone while reading monkeyfilter. You goddam putz, you really need a life, don't you? That's why you don't have a sexual partner and you'll probably die alone - hopefully quite soon. You also smell like wee-wee.
But whatever! Fill your glass, log on to Mofi, and drink your shots according to the following rules!
- Someone double-posts? Drink a shot!
- Someone self-links? Drink a shot!
- Someone posts a "Curious George" post that's not a real question, simply an excuse to chatter away about your five greatest pimples or which Olsen twin you'd rather bake into a pie or your favourite saying about nasal infections? Drink a shot!
- Someone gets into a slanging match? Drink a shot!
- Someone shits their nappy and goes "WAAAH WAAAH I'M LEAVING FOREVER"? Drink a shot!
- Someone makes a tagline from someone else's comment? Drink a shot!
- Unless it's Bluehorse. We don't want any liver damage here.
- Someone posts a picture of puppies, kittens, ducklings or any kind of fur-ridden-icky-icky-cuteness-grossout animal? Drink a shot!
- Someone mispells a word while trying to correct someone else's spelling? Drink a shot!
- Someone comments in the form of a poem? Drink a shot!
NOTA BENE: Neither MoFi, nor the owners of MoFi, nor anyone else with any of the letters M, O, F or I in their name, encourage binge-drinking. Take care of yourself - we don't want to lose you, and you don't want to throw up in your laptop.
