Monkey is a technical term for a member of MonkeyFilter. Monkeys come in all shapes, sizes, colours, temperaments, nationalities, and religious and political affiliations.

There are a number of theories in the scientific community that attempt to explain how they split from the simian primates. They are ruled by the benevolent tracicle, who migrated to New Zealand over a network bridge that once connected Australasia with Asia. She is credited with teaching the species not to fling poo.

Generally, monkeys do not make good pets. They are difficult to domesticate, require unusual foods, and tend to monopolize the household computer. They may become undisciplined if they are given dialup or ISDN connections.
