Reviews

From fuyugare

Mothninja's mix covers many genres of music -- I counted at least bluegrass, jazz, rock, reggae, and others that I've definitely missed. The unifying theme, for me at least, is that none of the songs are in any language I recognize. The best analogy I can think of is that this is Lorem Ipsum for music. Perhaps as a result of this linguistic trick genres that I generally dislike (bluegrass) suddenly become very listenable, and even enjoyable.

I've only listened to it twice so far, but it is now in my permanent mp3 shuffle list. That's the highest praise I can give any music.

From Melinika

I tend to prefer mixes with songs or artists I recognize sprinkled in the tracklist, since I have a hard time getting used to completely unfamiliar music. This mix has nothing I recognize on it, and not only that, the lyrics aren't even in languages I can comprehend. Nevertheless it's one of my favorites that I've heard so far. So many different genres and surprises (Italian bluegrass?! Italian disco?!) but it works so well as a whole! Horizon-expanding and all that. Very enjoyable and unique.
