All about our hardworking DJ crew! In alpha order:

  • Alnedra (aka Neddy) : Anime soundtracks, ballads that will make your insides turn to mush, musicals (occasionally), soft rock, Cole Porter, just about anything by Nobuo Uematsu, and Mandarin/Cantonese pop and soundtracks, especially songs from martial arts movies or serials. One day I may show you all the variations of "Eyes On Me" - if you really cheese me off.
  • Bone - glam metal, deranged covers, Bacharach, choral, John Cage.
  • Basalisk - I like it. Fairly mainstream, and a good dose of Trance and Aussie hip-hop.
  • drivingmenuts (aka dmn) - themed shows still in development.
  • gomichild indie-alternative-pop-punk-rockin' (warning: high percentage of J-music)
  • hajen (also known as Melinika): I play some of everything, seriously. A lot of mainstream (past and present) but I find something to enjoy in every genre, and I like to mix it up. I do not fear the cheese. Penchant for obvious themes and Canadian content.
  • koko - cats walking across pianos, fat men singing in the shower, ducks in sacks being swung around in circles, children making fart sounds, some sort of slight tapping noise, and The Pixies.
  • layne: '70s AM classics, indie-alt pop/rock/backslash-hyphen, country both alt and ol' timey, and occasional delta blues, presented in tenuously cohesive theme sets.
  • livii: So fresh, so clean, so hip, so intriguing. So mysterious, you'll have to tune in to understand the awesomeness.
  • mandyman: (on hiatus until I take my doctoral qualifying exam January 5-8) I love all kinds of music and I while I know it's a cliche to say that, I am sincere! Why must you doubt me? If my mix is of a particular genre for that night, I'll post the theme on the calendar (common themes being: brazil, alt-country, classical (old and new), quiet (not smooth) jazz). The late night stuff (pacific time) tends to be pretty calm. Also, I am open to suggestions in #mofirc, however the DMCA limits my ability to take specific requests.
  • mothninja: '80s, Euro chic, choral music. More to come.
  • Knickerbocker mrk: I'm not that good at naming genres, but most of my music has either guitars or electronic sounds. Somewhere between metal, ectroclash, dementia, folk, and foreign.
  • notnamed: Various types of metal (industrial, goth, hardcore, numetal, alt); alt rock/indie: Barenaked Ladies, Ok Go, Hot Hot Heat; Christian folk-rock.
  • pmdboi: chill, funk, house, hip-hop, glitch, soul, and the occasional shameful power ballad.
  • quickloris (rhymes with "Mulva"): Assortment of music that makes me feel uncultured listening to my fellow broadcasters, but sometimes surprises me with its variety. For now I'm trying to do specific sets, but we'll see how that goes...
  • Skrik: classic rock.
  • Suo: Skatastic! Ska, Punk, Various, Assorted, Other. Plays what he likes.
  • tempest: Alt-rock, Dance, Chill, Dub, House. Pretty much anything I have access to. Be afraid.
  • Wendell: More than just Mofirc's own Dr. Demento. (Although I did my college radio station's demento-clone show memblemumble years ago and have met the good Dr. himself) I'll also play from my annoyingly extensive collection of 70s Progressive Rock, 80s KROQ New Wave and other pockets of musical history. (Also instigator of the Station IDs)

Check our schedule at Google Calendar - usually updated about 6 hours in advance - subject to change at a moment's notice due to: bandwidth issues, weather, cockroaches, rain, snow and/or ... well, just about anything, really. But that keeps you on your toes, right? ;)
