Rolypolyman, you and I have very similar taste, by the sounds of it. The Martian Chronicles is about as sci-fi as I generally get, and it's a really great book whether read as chapters of a larger tale or as a series of short stories. And Rebirth is excellent too -- I'm glad you posted it because I haven't read it in about seven years and now I'm going to have to read all the Wyndham books over again. Those and Ira Levin's, since I saw the remade Stepford Wives the other day. --tracicle 04:04, 21 May 2005 (EDT)

I'm also a big fan of The Martian Chronicles, but I don't agree with you that it's dated. It seems to me that there is a quirky 'nostalgia' that runs throughout the book, but I think that aspect is a conscious choice made to offset the 'reality' of the setting. --Nickdanger 01:06, 22 May 2005 (EDT)

I protest! I demand that quidnunc review real books! --Koko 13:32, 24 Nov 2005 (EST)

What is that, some sort of made-up Armenian title? You, sir, are incorrigible! --Koko 14:49, 24 Nov 2005 (EST)

I should add some stuff (I read all the damn time, and some of the books are even good!), but as it is, I just went and fixed some spelling problems and titles. Well, except Quid's titles. Since they aren't real books anyway, why should they conform stylistically to the real books' title listings? --verbminx
