- That's an interesting point, the_bone. I would have thought that if I was quoting the whole inquiry "Who can whip whom?" within my own question then I should have two question marks, e.g. <<should that be, "who can whip whom?"?>>. In order to avoid such double punctuation, I quoted the words of the inquiry sans question mark, "who can whip whom", and the question mark appearing outside the inverted commas applies to my question, not the example question quoted. --The quidnunc kid 08:45, 13 May 2005 (EDT)
