Watch Firefly, it's brilliant. So is Farscape, Battlestar Galactica and the new Doctor Who!

I'm putting quidnunc's limerick here, because I like it so much:

"There was a fair lass called jb
Who met a young man of the sea!
When he sailed off to Britain
She found herself smitten
And demanded he sail back quickly!"

>= Monkeyfilter posts =

Because I'm narcisistic like that.

(Doesn't include Curious George or meetup posts)

History Trail - It didn't get many comments, but I still think it's cool. Plus, I got to meet one of the people involved once, and he's really cool.

The End (original link now defunct)

Uptown theatre collapses - a part of my teenagehood is gone.

Asian Underground (original link now defunct)

Structured Procrastination (I screwed up the html on on the front page, but fixed it in comments.

Text adventure Hamlet and power-point literature

The End of the Internet - the infamous post I was once accused of, and then exonerated from, plagiarising. I liked mine better.

Nannies, motherhood and poverty - My first serious post. It was a good discussion I wished had gone farther.

Geeks to inherit the Earth? - My first rant post; I link to it, and then rant :)

Pot within a pot - keeping food fresh - Totally inspiring

Height (original link defunct) - I don't remember much, and now the link is defunct. Sic transit gloria Internet.

History Minutes - I loved these Canadian history ads when they were on tv, and had so much fun when I found out they were all online. Also one of my mofi/mefi crossposts.

Offally good - It's about Offal. It was a thin post.

Bob Schneider Music - Still need to get this albulm. I found Jason Mraz though, currently a favorite artist, while looking for Bob Schneider, and I think I like Mraz better. Funny how these things work.

Uncertain times for Iraqi-Canadians (original link defunct)

Even superheros have to go through adolescence

Aziz and his amazing freedom box - This post totally deserved more comments. Aziz is funny.

Red Elvises - The links in post are defunct, but the Red Elvises certainly aren't - they rock. "Closet Disco Dancer" is my favorite.

Cognitive Dissonence and politics (main link defunct)

London gets a new alternative paper - The Line - with all new issues! flashboy is all busy now, and can't come out to drink as often.

Nostalgia to dance to - TV themes - So many memories, captured in loving 32 KBS

Creative misuse and abuse of musical tools

Canadafilter: minority government - the first of a couple of Canadian political posts.

Devoter: support this blog - My little effort to reduce election-filter on mofi.

I eat books - It was a thin post, but not deserving of the total dis from Nostril :)

Letterboxing with Mark and Sue - I still love that title.

How to Speak like a Cape Bretoner - Useful.

Canada's burning - Media myths about universal health coverage - I needed to rant some more.

Floys - a curiously elegant toy.

A human face of religious conservatism - Some people may read the article, but they don't seem to take in that the letters form words, and the words form ideas, and the ideas are suposed to broaden your mind.

The Dull Men's Club - it's ok to be dull. - Ironically enough, this site is too crowded and exciting for me to spend much time there.

Crack Babies Talk Back - This post was definitely a joint effort - I started with just a simple link, and PY found a whole magasine online by the kids in the post.

Jim Crow stories: personal narratives, in audio and text - I have to admit, I haven't listened to much of this. I listened to some, and it was totally fascinating, but I never had time to listen to one all the way through. But sometime I will :)

Dolls and role models - Never did find any more dolls

Voices of Cabrini

2004 Weblog Awards - I get fooled by a random right wing award page

People should know more historical demography - I rant about the lack of social history in pulp magazines. The main link is now defunct - I really should have used a permalink - but my ranting is still fun. Everyone should read Wrigley and Schofield's Population History of England, 1541-1871, it's great stuff.

Firefly Pinyinary - I make (my first?) double post - Alnedra's was much better. Watch Firefly anyways, it's brilliant.

100 movies that deserve more love - I'm going to keep this in mind next time I look to rent.

We must respect the Charter - Paul Martin astounds me be apparently finding some character.

Tinky Winky virtual paper doll - I used to watch 1-2 hours of teletubbies a day, with my toddler neice. And I LOVED it.

Ifilm's best short films of 2004 - There are some great films here - I hope the link lasts.

Doctor Who Trumps - I really want a top trump, but I'm too shy to make it myself. Also, I doubt it could ever beat the Doctor, not even Colin Baker.

Ouch - Disability website, with Spud and his vegetably challenged pals

Mrs Mortimer and the Beijing Chippy - I'm so hungry, and jealous.

The story of Welsh - The BBC gives out false information about Indo-European, bad BBC.

Residence Rules - a little anthropology for fun.

How to Survive being eaten by a Whale - strangely, a hit.

History of Online Comics} - The post with (almost) no comments.

Gypsies and other travellers in Britain - following a disturbing conversation a friend witnessed in England. Almost as disturbing as the metafilter thread I also posted with these links - people who aren't racist, they just don't like those people. Please remind me to go wash my brain.

Obesity, genes and lifestyle - inspired by a metafilter post, I go looking for more information and find this interesting article, as well as both hopeful and disturbing material on gastric bypass surgery.

possibly some missing - I should check the archives when they are functioning again c. June 27, 2005 to June 29, 2005 very unlikely though.
