Brief thoughts for now:

Skills that can and/or have helped earned my keep:

Spanish->English translations (high level; have done science (biology) and humanities (philosophy)); English->Spanish translations (grammatically accurate, easily understood); Some editing (copy and/or developmental); Molecular biology wet-lab troubleshooting (you can ask :) ); Computer maintenance (but y'all are likely as able as I); Sailboat crew (enough, as I say above, to help earn my keep -- but done primarily for leisure (no racing experience))

Fun skills/things I'm learning/things I can make:

pottery, quilts, digital photography, yummy meals

On my list to learn/further develop:

carpentry (I can get around a machine shop, but there's lots I want to learn); plumbing (the potable water kind)

General knowledge (with lots of gaps!) that might be of use:

Living in/visiting the San Francisco Bay Area; lesser, but maybe more useful, info on Spain.
